Caution: Be Careful of Celebrity-Endorsed
Diets and Products
A celebrity
endorsement of a diet is not a good enough reason to begin following
that diet. Many of us want to believe that our favorite actors, athletes,
and musicians would never attach their na mes to diets or products that
are unhealthy or that just don't work, and thereby encourage fans to
follow them. Unfortunately, however, this happens more often than you might
suspect.
Celebrities
are under an extraordinary amount of pressure to keep themselves in the
limelight or risk being forgotten, with work and
the money to fund their
lifestyles no longer at their disposal. This does not mean that
every celebrity who endorses a diet is only doing for the sake of
publicity and the opportunity to keep themselves in the spotlight. But some celebrities do find that attaching themselves to diets is lucrative
for publicity and added income. Not to mention the extravagant gift
incentives that diet and weight-loss companies thrust in front of celebrities
to entice endorsements out of them. If we were in their shoes, we
might find it hard to pass up some of these incentives, too.

The Benefits of Exercising With a Group
The biggest
benefit of exercising with a group is that
you never get fed up with the sometimes
monotonous nature of the workout schedule.
While we all realize that constant exercise
is necessary to keep up our fitness at
optimal levels, still we ourselves manage to
find one reason or another to be
non-punctual for our daily sessions. The
basic reason why people ordinary mortals
and not fitness freaks respond in this way
is the lack of interest they develop over a
period of time in their workout routines or
exercises. If they did not find anything
interesting or entertaining in the sessions
or life inside the gym, they simply wouldn't
bother to turn up for another couple of
hours of boredom in the gym. But, group
exercises are a definite solution to this
attitude. After all, who on this earth
doesnt like to be in the company of others?
But, here it must be kept in mind that those
exercises that can be done in a group are
very much limited. Even though, new
discoveries are invariably tried in various
gyms, still the proven ones are the
conventional group workouts only. But most
of these provide in its very nature and
design a means for boosting fitness at an
overall level than limiting to any
particular muscle or body part, which in
fact makes it indispensable for most
gymnasiums. Popular workouts in that genre
include Hip Hop, Yoga, Pilates, Cycling,
Cardio Splash, and as mentioned earlier in
the paragraph, the various hybrid workout

Exercise for the Physically Challenged
Research has
shown that exercise is good for our health.
Through research it has also been discovered
that a person's overall health is not just
linked to the
physical fitness of their body
but it is also linked to th eir
emotional and spiritual fitness as well.
Exercise can improve and sustain all three
of the areas involved in overall health, the
health of the body, mind, and inner spirit.
Exercise can provide the benefits for
overall health to everyone, regardless of
the limitations a person may have due to
age, morbid obesity, or physical
disabilities. There are exercise programs
that have been developed specifically for
older adults and there are programs
available that can help those who are
severely overweight to begin exercising to
lose weight and become more fit and healthy.
Modified exercise programs for the
physically disabled are especially important
in the prevention of muscle atrophy and
further physical disability and also for the
emotional well being of those facing sudden
and long term physical disabilities.

Struggling!
How I Got Paying
Model Gigs!
Ever
since I was a
little girl,
I knew I wanted
to be a model. I
was always
pretty enough,
and people
always commented
on how well I
photographed, so
when I got out
of college with
a marketing
degree, I
decided I wanted
to try to make
it as a model. I
was pretty and I
photographed
well. How hard
could it be?
Wow!
Was I in for a rude awakening!! I found out that there is a LOT MORE to
it than just
taking pretty
pictures. You
have to know how
to walk, how to
dress, how to
carry yourself.
You have to be
aware of color
and makeup and
hair. Only
models who
understand all
of the little
details get
regular work.
And even though
I struggled to
land small jobs
here and there,
I didn't learn
ANY of what I
needed to know
from other
models. The
industry is just
too cut-throat
for that. No
one's really
going to help
you. You're
pretty much out
there on your
own, trying to
claw your way
in.
I was
online one day,
waiting for my
shift at my
horrendous
restaurant
survival job to
start, when I
came across
Scott White's
book, How to
Become a Fitness
Model. I
was skeptical at
first
I mean, OK, I
wasn't getting
rich, but I got
work. Still, I
decided to buy
the book because
I figured, "How
could it hurt?"
I am soooo glad
I did!

To be honest, I
was lucky to get

odd part-time
gig. After

paid to fly all
over the world.
I followed just
a few steps in
the book, and
I'm now a
full-time

loving every
