Nature delivers powers we are unable to control, stress being one.  Stress is defined as a force from the outside world that effects us each individually.   Headaches, depression, loss of sleep, anxiety and weight gain are all undesirable effects of stress. Although we can’t completely eliminate stress from our lives, there are ways we can teach our bodies to cope with it.  Below are 5 simple ways to to help your body cope with stress.

1. Exercise:  Although this has become a generic form of “stress reduction” techniques, it really works.  Releasing endorphins is a great way to keep a body feeling good.

2. Diet: Although stress can make us lazy and unmotivated, it is important to take time to eat properly.  Skip the drive-thru.  Opt for protein packed meals and load up on veggies.

3. Friends:  Surround yourself with positive people.  Focus on friendships that motivate, inspire and compliment you.

4. Nature: Take time each day to sit quietly outdoors and watch, listen to and feel nature.  Nature can facilitate in self-awareness and well being.

5.Vitamins- Improves the bodies ability to recover faster and feel better.

It is important to remember that stress is inevitable.  Learning to deal with stress is the key to feeling good and living life to the fullest. Don’t fight the beast, learn how to tame it.  That said, here’s a sweet quote to take with you today:
