Biography: Was born with a twin sister. Have an older brother. Grew
up on a farm. Was active in sports at school. Coached gymnastics throughout
high school. Became a national level gymnastics coach and coached for 10
years. Started my own business as a personal trainer. Work part time in a
health food store as a registered natural products advisor.

Career Highlights: Making the Canadian Team to the 2003 IFBB Women's
World Amateur Bodybuilding Championships and being the top placing North
American.
Sports/ athletics: Was a cross country runner and a gymnast for my
public school. Played some tennis on the highschool team and also a
cheerleader on the competitive cheerleading squad. Was a competitive
provincial level gymnast throughout high school for a gymnastics club. Would
have been a national level gymnast in my senior year but sustained a knee
injury requiring surgery. Competed in trampoline at the national level in
college. Also was an avid windsurfer in my early 20's. Now competitive in
bodybuilding.

-charity bench press contest placing 1st in class and best female lifter for
the past 7 years
-Michigan Winter triathlon placing 1st in my age group

What makes a great bodybuilder? Dedication, desire, drive and
genetics.
What are the secrets to become a bodybuilder? Commitment
What did you do to become a bodybuilder? Was talked into competing and
knew nothing about the sport.
What are the benefits to being a bodybuilder? Learning about your
body, learning about food and how your body reacts to it and working out.
What is your favorite things about being a bodybuilder? Lifting
weights and being able to perform on stage.
What is your secret to bodybuilding? Consistency
How do you stay fit, do you have a personal trainer, chef, work out, what
do you do? I work out at the gym.
How do you keep you skin healthy and fresh looking? Seems to be in my
genetics as well as using a good moisturizer.
What do you believe is good health and fitness? Staying active and
making good food choices. Taking preventative measures to stay healthy.
Do you prefer to tan or use tanning lotion? I tan a little as well as
use a lotion when preparing for competition.
First Interest In Fitness/Bodybuilding After my knee injury I
started going to the gym for rehab. Later on when I got active in windsurfing
I needed something for the winter months to stay in shape since I didn't
compete in gymnastics any longer. Bodybuilding found me after I had moved to
the United States for a short time for work. The owner of the gym I attended
talked me into competing in a show he promoted.
Goal Within The Bodybuilding/ Fitness Industry In the fitness
industry, to be a positive role model for those wanting to take up a healthy
lifestyle and to educate them in fitness. In the bodybuilding industry, to
represent Canada at the international level.
Life Goals To be the best I can be and do the best I can in whatever
I take on in life.
Dreams To be able to do some traveling.
What is your Pre-contest Diet It changes as I get closer to a show.
Breakfast: protein shake or egg whites, oatmeal
snacks: protein shake or bar or food
lunch: Salad, tuna or chicken, sweet potato
dinner: Salad, chicken, veggies
Supplements you use protein powder, glutamine, multi vitamin,
antioxidants
What is your Regular Diet, same? Usually around the same but will
have cheat meals on weekends.
Contest Work Out Routine: Work out 4 days a week, 2 on 1 off, 2 on, 2
off. Lifting as heavy as I can handle with good form. Lots of cardio
Off season work out routine: Work outs don't change too much from
contest training. Moderate cardio.
