I thought I see if I could ask you real quick a question I have a about fitness. If the main concentration is to lose weight....cardio first or lifting weights first? Ive heard both sides but never know who's right. I know with any workout, you gotta warm up, get the heart rate up, and cool down. Thought I ask if that's cool with you since you normally get paid to answer questions like this ahha...Just thought I ask cuz its time for me to hit the gym and get my lifestyle together...I'm planning on going back to kickboxing in the fall.

Weight training is proven to burn far more fat than cardio, because even after your done weight training you have an increased metabolic rate for the next few hours after lifting, while with cardio as soon as your off your done metabolic rate goes back to normal. Not to mention with weight training you build some muscle which in turn helps you burn more fat. Cardio is important though weight training will give you the best bang for your buck. When it comes to what burns more fat.  Don't forget about nutrition it's a huge part of losing weight or more importantly fat.
