- 1 lb ground organic turkey
- 1/4 lb Shishito peppers
- Cayenne powder
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Salt and pepper
- Olive oil
Preparation
Add salt and pepper to tast to ground turkey. Add a dash of cayenne pepper if you would like some additional heat. Add garlic and onion powder (1/4 tsp each.) Fold everything together with your your hands or a spoon to make sure spices are evenly distributed. Form into 1/4 lb patties.
Turn grill on to medium-high heat. Add turkey patties and cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until juices run clear. If you would like to add cheese do so 1 minute before removing from grill. Jack or pepper jack would work well.
While turkey burgers are cooking heat a little olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped Shishito peppers, salt and pepper to taste and cook for 2-3 minutes until starting to soften.
To Plate:
Add burgers to a plate and top with sauteed Shishito peppers. Serve and enjoy.
