The book, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, is a masterpiece that was written by Dr. Weston A. Price several decades ago. The book was first published in 1939 and though old, it is still very readable and enjoyable. This book was re-created with the intention of preserving the classic study of the work Dr. Price put into investigating the negative effects of processed foods.

Besides discussing about the bad effects of processed foods, Dr. Price also mentions all of the disastrous effects synthetic farming methods have on human health in this book, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. He has also done some investigation about the promise of regeneration which he has found out to be very much possible through sound nutrition. On reading this book, its guidelines provide the necessary information wherein it is possible to reach optimum health and reproduction for future generations as it was then possible to primitive societies.

Dr. Price has always been recognized as a universal figure and a great authority on the importance of whole foods in their natural form. Dr. Price has also imparted his knowledge about the development of degenerative illnesses that arise with the inclusion of processed foods in the diet included in the book. All 524 pages of the book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration contain interesting information on the nutrition of food, and its degeneration over the past several years. It took more than ten years for Dr. Price to conduct research to gather information about different diseases and food nutrition. When examining young patients, it was their teeth that interested Dr. Price the most. This is because he found that crowded and crooked teeth were steadily on the rise. Even facial deformities like narrowed faces and pinched nostrils are more common today, than in past years.

Dr. Price had also noted that children also had more complaints today pertaining to allergies, anemia, infections, poor vision, fatigue and behavioral problems. Seeing all of this, Dr. Price did not believe that all of this seemingly natural degeneration was the work of God. To him, the cause of all of this was insufficient and poor nutrition on our parts.

So as part of the research for the book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, Dr. Price visited isolated parts of the earth where these parts had no contact whatsoever with civilization, and it is basically all of the photos that he took on these visits and his views of what he found in these places, together with startling conclusions, that Dr. Price  included in his book, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration.

Upon reading Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, the outlook of people on the world tends to change. This is because Dr. Price provides astounding information through his research and findings in the book. He found that  people living in isolated locations did not have much tooth decay, dental crowding or any other occlusions to complain of. Surprisingly that though these people lived in harsh environments, they did not have any diseases or any health problems!

According to the opinion of modern science, it was only people of certain races who tend to suffer from certain abnormalities, however, Dr. Price has managed to prove this theory incorrect in his book. He did this by proving that it was the children who were born to parents who had adopted modern, junk food diets that were more prone to deformities. This is mainly because of the additives, chemicals and preservatives added to modern junk food.

To prove his point, Dr. Price even collected samples of food from those isolated places and found that these diets had at least four times more of the minerals and vitamins than American diets offer. So with all of this proof, you learn from Dr. Price that physical degeneration of the body is very much related to poor nutrition.
